Talking in opposites version 2

We (my wife, grand daughter and I) were about to go shopping. The little lassie was excited when she was invited to come along. At the parking lot, she rushed to my car and held on to front door handle while proudly announcing that she wants to sit at the back. You get the picture? She was at the front door, but said she wanted to sit at the back. We corrected her anyway.

Two days back, while transporting her from school to her nanny’s place, she told me that the journey was far. In actual fact, we hardly sat in the car for 5 minutes when we reached our destination. It’s either her sense of judgement is suspect or the opposite is what she really meant. I reckon the latter is more apt.

Whatever you have in your mind – forget it;
Whatever you have in your hand – give it;
Whatever is to be your fate – face it!
– Abu Sa’id (Essential Sufism)
